Entertaining, for the holidays and beyond
My first memories of “tablescapes” are from watching Sandra Lee on her cooking show create them. We can recognize the icon that she is, while still changing it up to reflect where we are now. A beautiful table can truly make an evening that much more special and memorable. There are so many options for any style of entertaining, and some of the best come from smaller businesses. It’s easy to run to a curated store like Crate and Barrel or West Elm where you can easily visualize what linens go with what chargers and see the table set with the perfect flatware laid out, but it’s much more fun to start from scratch, pulling items from different places to create your own distinct style.
Below are some pieces from websites I’ve found that go beyond a typical holiday place setting, and that can be used for entertaining when the holiday season is over. Bringing in nontraditional elements and colors are what can make your entertaining stand out and add visual interest for your friends and family. The holidays are stressful enough to have something boring to look at, get inspired and have fun!
